One of the reading mentors is involved in this great summer program. The Inner City Tennis Clinic is a free summer program for boys and girls ages 6-18. The program runs from 9-3 every week day between June 13 and August 5 and focuses on tennis, wellness, conditioning, and literacy. Breakfast and lunch is also provided each day. Visit www.innercitytennis.net for more information or ask for an application in the TIS main office.

Thanks to some donations at the TIS 10th Birthday Bash, as well as some frugile spending of the PE budget...we have new equipment!

TIS students have been happy to see more equipment arriving in the multi-purpose room this year. Some of the newly acquired items include:

  • a portable basketball hoop
  • basketballs
  • volleyballs
  • footballs
  • beach balls
  • soccer balls
  • cones
  • pinnies
  • flag belts
  • bean bags
  • jump ropes
  • hula hoops
  • exercise balls
  • fitness equipment
  • hacky sacks
  • scooters
  • a projector
  • and more!

BUT, with daily physical education classes serving 224 students, we still need more! Donations of new or used equipment or cash donations to purchase items are welcome. Please contact Mr. Smith with any questions regarding equipment donations.
